Astro Computer Center computer systems come with a 90-day, 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year limited warranty, depending on the product purchased. To determine which warranty came with your product, see your invoice. The following sections describe the limited warranties and return policy.

What is covered by this limited warranty?
This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in your computer and peripheral products.

What is not covered by this limited warranty?
This limited warranty does not cover:
1. Software, including the operating system and software added  
   to the computer systems, third-party software, or the
   reloading of software.
2. Computer and peripherals not purchased from Astro   
   Computer Center.
3. Problems that result from:
    a. External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, or  
       problems with electrical power
   b. Servicing not authorized by Astro Computer Center
   c. Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions
       Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to
       perform preventive maintenance
    d. Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or
       components not supplied by Astro Computer Center
   e. Products with missing or altered Service Tags or serial
       numbers
    f. Products for which Astro Computer Center has not
       received payment
   g. Backing up and or recovering files

WE DO NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY OR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES, FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST SOFTWARE. OUR LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE FAIR MARKET VALUE FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH WE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE.

How long does this limited warranty last?
This limited warranty lasts for the time period indicated on your invoice, except for the following:
1. Portable computer batteries carry the lesser of either a 1-year
    limited warranty or the length of the limited warranty for the Astro
   Computer Center computer with which the battery is shipped.
2. The limited warranty for monitors purchased independent of a
     system lasts for 30 days. Manufacturers warranty still apply
    (contact the manufacturer). Monitors purchased with a system are
    covered by the system limited warranty time period.

The limited warranty on all Astro Computer Center products begins on the date of the invoice. The warranty period is not extended if we repair or replace a warranted product or any parts. Astro Computer Center may change the availability of limited warranties, at its discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.

What will Astro Computer Center do?
During the period of the limited warranty, we will repair any Astro Computer Center purchased computer systems returned to us that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship. If we are not able to repair the product, we will replace it with a comparable product that is new or refurbished.

If we determine that the problem is not covered under this warranty, we will notify you and inform you of service alternatives that are available to you on a fee basis.

NOTE: Before you bring any product to us, make sure to back up the data on the hard drive and any other storage device in the product. Remove any confidential, proprietary, or personal information and removable media such as floppy disks, CDs, or PC Cards. We are not responsible for any of your confidential, proprietary, or personal information; lost or corrupted data; or damaged or lost removable media.

Astro Computer Center Return Policy
Astro Computer Center values our relationship with you and offers a return policy for most products that you purchase directly from Astro Computer Center. Under this policy, you may return to Astro Computer Center, within 30 days, products that you purchased directly from Astro Computer Center for a credit or a refund of the purchase price paid, less shipping and handling and applicable restocking fees.  A 20% restocking fee and any labor charges will be deducted from any refund.
Restocking fees apply on:
   1. Any products not returned in original packing materials with all
      appropriate disks and manuals. This might also include any
      license fees associated with the product.
